Solstad Offshore secures new contracts from Equinor

Norwegian OSV operator Solstad Offshore has secured multiple new contracts with state-run oil and gas company Equinor.

The first contract is for the hire of AHTS vessel Normand Ferking. The firm period of the contract is one year and Equinor has the option to extend with a further two one-year periods. The contract will commence in direct continuation of the current charter, extending the vessel’s employment to November 2020. The vessel has been working for Equinor since delivery in 2007.

Additionally, Equinor has declared three yearly options each on PSV vessels Normand Sun and Normand Sygna, extending the contracts firm to July and September 2023 respectively. Equinor has further two one-year options with the two vessels.

“We are very pleased to extend our contractual relation with Equinor for the Normand Ferking, Normand Sun and Normand Sygna. Equinor is one of Solstad’s key clients globally, with several long-term contracts in place both in Norway, UK and Brazil,” said Kenneth Lande, head of global AHTS/PSV segment of Solstad Offshore.
