SolstadFarstad secures a series of new contracts

Norwegian OSV operator SolstadFarstad has announced the award of several new contracts which will add over 2500 vessel working days to the company’s backlog.

The company has been awarded contracts by Maersk Oil North Sea for the hire of four PSVs in the UK North Sea. Sea Tantalus and Far Server will support the semi-submersible drilling rig Ocean Valiant for a period of 2 years, commencing in June, while Normand Flipper and Sea Springer will support the Culzean gas field hook-up and commissioning for a period of around 9 months, commencing in July.

Additionally BP Egypt has contracted PSV Sea Spark for a period of one year, starting from early June.

Lastly, Sea Supra and Sea Spear have been awarded contracts for three months plus options to an undisclosed client, commencing mid-2018.

“The awards mark a critical reflection of both an improving market and the strength of the Solstad Farstad fleet. Operating in all major offshore regions and being regarded as the premier provider of offshore vessels will continue to be key focus areas for Solstad Farstad,” said Jon Are Gummedal, EVP PSV/AHTS International at SolstadFarstad.
