Solvang and International Gas Carriers plan merger

International Gas Carriers (IGC) is to be merged with and absorbed into its parent company Solvang next month.

The decision was signed off today by Solvang’s board of directors, who plan to adopt the merger during a board meeting on May 26.

Oslo-based IGC was founded in 2008 and operates a 14-vessel fleet of fully refrigerated gas carriers. The company has commercially managed and operated Solvang’s six liquefied ethylene gas (LEG) carriers since the beginning of 2014.
