Norway’s Solvang has confirmed an order with South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for the construction of two firm 21,000 cu m ethylene carriers for delivery in the first half of 2019.
Solvang and parters signed an LOI back in February for the pair along with two additional options.
“The ships are designed for the future with full exhaust gas cleaning and Tier III compliance, giving high flexibility with regards to existing and future environmental regulations,” Solvang noted in a release to the Oslo Bors.
