Sonangol splashes $137m on suezmax pair

South Korean yard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has won a KRW153bn ($137m) contract from Angola’s state-run oil company Sonangol.

The deal calls for Hyundai Samho to deliver two 158,000 dwt suezmaxes in the first half of 2023.

Sonangol’s current fleet numbers 21 tankers and five gas carriers according to VesselsValue.
