Songa Offshore semi-submersible to resume work in February

Songa Offshore has announced that its semi-submersible drilling rig Songa Encourage is currently under equipment overhaul and repair and the rig is expected to be back in operations early February 2017.

The rig is on a charter contract with Statoil. It suffered water ingress into a pumproom on January 2 and has since suspended operations.

No injuries were reported from the incident.
