Søren Toft departs from Maersk

A.P. Møller – Maersk has announced the departure of chief operating officer and board member Søren Toft, who has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of the company.

Toft leaves with immediate effect, and Maersk CEO Søren Skou will step in to take on Toft’s responsibilities as an interim measure.

“I have worked with Søren for many years, and I appreciate Søren’s many contributions to A.P. Moller – Maersk. He leaves an agile and strong operating organization and we all wish Søren the very best in the future,” Skou said of Toft’s departure.

Toft has been in the COO role since 2014, and has been a board member since November 2017.
