Sorong port project struggling with land acquisition issues

Jakarta:  Port operator PT Pelindo II is seeking a presidential decree to hurry up the building of Sorong Port in West Papua. Issues with land acquisition has seen the project slip behind schedule. If the decree comes in Q1 next year then the state run port operator is confident it can get the planned 500,000 teu capacity terminal up and running by the end of 2014.  [03/12/12]
