Splash appoints Italian correspondent

Genoa: Splash, the leading maritime news site, is pleased to announce that it has added to its global line-up of correspondents. Genoa-based Nicola Capuzzo has joined the Splash network of correspondents providing exclusive news and interviews from Italy.

Nicola is a highly qualified journalist focused on transport economics, logistics and shipping with a broad experience in both online and printed media. Specialties include shipping, ship finance, banking, commodities and port economics.

Nicola has been writing for Splash’s sister title, Maritime CEO, for some time. For Maritime CEO he has interviewed the very top names in Italian ship owning and it is this access to key names in the industry that will drive plenty more exclusives for Splash.

Commenting on the latest correspondent appointment, Sam Chambers, Splash’s editorial director, said: “During his time with Maritime CEO we quickly realised that Nicola is a very special journalist who understands the values of nailing exclusive stories, something that is central to what Splash is about. Italy has some of the biggest names in shipping and with Nicola onboard, Splash will be the title for people keen to find about what is happening in Italian maritime. More correspondents of Nicola’s calibre will be unveiled soon.”

Launched in March this year with correspondents across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, Splash is the flagship of Singapore-headquartered Asia Shipping Media. The free-to-access site is on course to becoming the world’s most read shipping news site.
