Spring jumps for MR

Spring Marine Management of Greece has stepped into the market, adding its first ship of the year.
Spring Marine is staying loyal to its preferences, adding yet another Japanese-built ship, this time grabbing the eight-year-old 48,000 dwt Nord Intelligence MR tanker for around $16.5 m.

Spring Marine made several headlines in the last couple of years adding five ships and being linked to many more.

This time the outfit has done a deal with a similar sized company, Singapore’s Blue Wake Shipping.
Spring Marine is one of many Greek owners who thrive on trading older ships. Data from online portal VesselsValue shows Spring Marine has five tankers and two bulkers, with an average age of 12 years.
