Hong Kong: Around 250 people flocked last night to shipping’s natural go-to place for anniversary parties, the new Maritime Museum (pictured) by the Star Ferry, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of there being a Charles Taylor-branded office in the Special Administrative Region. David Marock, Charles Taylor’s ceo, said: “Hong Kong, China and the wider Asian markets are central to Charles Taylor’s growth plans. We already have 17 offices in Asia including those in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Our client Standard Asia is the only P&I Club within the International Group incorporated in Asia outside Japan. It has full underwriting, claims and loss prevention authority and we have recently developed a claims handling capability in Hong Kong which we plan to further expand next year.”
