Star Bulk sends nine capesizes into CCL pool

Greek dry bulk owner Star Bulk Carriers has announced that it will be sending nine capesize vessels, currently spot trading, into the Capesize Chartering Ltd (CCL) pool formed with Bocimar International, Golden Ocean Group and C Transport Holding.

The companies formed the new joint-venture company last year, with an initial plan to include 65 vessels.

According to Star Bulk, CCL will be managed in Singapore and Antwerp with each owner responsible for the operating, accounting and technical management of their vessels.

Star Bulk says the agreement will help it achieve improved scheduling ability through the joint marketing opportunity that CCL represents, with the overall aim of enhancing economic efficiencies.
