Statoil takes Solstad Farstad PSV for North Sea work

Solstad Farstad has been awarded a contract by Statoil for 2013-built platform supply vessel Normand Fortune for operations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

 The contract commences in May and is for a period of 4 months firm with a further three two-month options. 

 “We are pleased to announce that we have secured another contract with Statoil ASA, one of our key clients. In addition to Normand Fortune, SolstadFarstad already has 10 vessels working on long term contracts with Statoil in Norway, UK and Brazil,” commented Kenneth Lande, EVP – strategic regions of Solstad Farstad.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
