Stena Drilling secures semi-submersible contract from Total

Stena Drilling has secured a contract from Total E&P UK for its semi-submersible drilling rig Stena Don to drill one well on the Laggan field, west of the Shetland Islands.

The duration of the contract is around 90 days with potential options and will commence around March 2019.

The Stena Don is currently working for Total E&P UK on an exploration well which is also located west of the Shetland Islands.

The rig is expected to receive an upgrade later this year at Damen Verolme Rotterdam.
