Stena Drilling semi-submersible awarded Total contract

Stena Drilling has been awarded a contract with Total E&P UK for 2001-built semi-submersible rig Stena Don for drilling at the Glendronach prospect West of Shetland.

The project is expected to commence in May and duration is estimated at around 80-120 days.

“Stena Drilling is extremely pleased to be working with Total E&P UK Ltd on this campaign and the campaign represents a great new opportunity for the Stena Don on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS),” the company said in a statement.

Stena Don was moved from Norway last year and laid up due to the limited opportunities.
