Shanghai: Swedish shipowner Stena is opening an office in Shanghai in December, to be headed up by John Kollander.
The China office will facilitate all shipping activities including new company Stena International Freight (SIF) which has a specific focus on exploring new markets and opportunities for expanding on Stena’s strong brand in the roro and the ropax segments. In Asia SIF has already launched a service from Korea to Russia.
“The office will enable us to further expand our roro, ropax and ferry activities in Asia as well as being a support for Stena’s other shipping activities in China,” Kollander told SinoShip News. [14/11/13]
