Strike paralyses Aqaba port
Cairo: A strike by Jordanian customs officers' is paralyzing the traffic of goods clearance and hundreds of trucks are left waiting for business, particularly by the port of Aqaba.
The strike, which started yesterday, is costing the nation up to 10m dinars a day, according to a source at the General Customs.
Customs staff are demanding the return of their old Ramadan bonus, which was stopped this year as well as increasing overtime pay. [17/07/13]
