Subsea 7 scores Petrobras pipelay support vessel extension

Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has won a sizeable award from Petrobras for one of its pipelay support vessels (PLSV) offshore Brazil.

The deal worth between $50m and $150m will see an existing contract for the 2016-built Seven Cruzeiro extended from February until November 2023.

“This extension reflects our track record of delivering successful PLSV activities in Brazil, achieving high standards of safety and a strong operational performance,” noted Daniel Hiller, Subsea 7’s vice president for the Brazil region.

In October 2021, Subsea 7 also secured three-year contracts with a one-year option from Petrobras for the PLSVs Seven Waves, Seven Rio and Seven Sun.
