Subsea 7 has secured a contract from Wintershall for the Nova oil and gas field development located in the north eastern part of the North Sea.

The contract comprises the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) delivery of the pipeline and riser systems, and the transport and installation of subsea production systems and umbilical system. Offshore operations will take place in 2019 and 2020.

The contract value is between $50m and $150m.

“This sizeable contract award recognises our record of strong execution with Wintershall. This project draws upon Subsea 7’s substantial experience of  delivering EPCI projects safely, efficiently and reliably,” said Phil Simons, Subsea 7’s vice president, North Sea and Canada.

Meanwhile, Aker Solutions has also been awarded a contract by Wintershall for the project to provide the subsea production system, umbilicals and services.
