Suez Canal protest draws to a close

Cairo: General Adel Ghadbaan, the military governor of Port Said, has succeeded in persuading workers who were protesting inside Suez Canal building to break up their strike and return to work after being assured to raise all their problems to Mohab Mamish, the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, who promised to solve it.

The shipping traffic resumed in the canal after a hiatus of 16 hours.  [08/05/13]
