Suicide bomber kills 29 at Mogadishu port

A suicide truck bomb hit the entrance of Somalia’s biggest port on Sunday, killing at least 29 people. Islamist al-Shabaab militants claimed responsibility for the attack which has brought chaos and carnage to the port of Mogadishu.

The attack took place near the gate of Mogadishu’s main port with a bomber driving a minibus packed with explosives into a police station and a security checkpoint. Most of the dead worked at the port, local authorities said.
