Super large crude oil terminal in Zhoushan approved

Guangzhou: The 450,000dwt crude oil terminal project at Zhoushan Laotangshan port area has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.
The project includes one 450,000dwt crude oil terminal and supporting facilities with RMB328.4m in investment. The designed annual handling capacity is set to reach 18m tons.
“The terminal is expected to start construction in the middle of 2014, and commerce operation in the second half of 2016,” said Huang Bingnian, deputy general manager of the project builder Zhoushan Shihua Crude Oil Terminal Co. Another 15m tons crude oil import capacity would be added when the project is fully completed, Huang continued. [18/12/13]
