Swiber AHTS aground off Mexico

A Swiber anchor handling tug supply vessel ran aground yesterday near the port of Dos Bocas, Mexico.

The 2008-built Swiber Torrun was anchored off the port of Dos Bocas, in the Gulf of Mexico, when strong winds and waves of up to 2 metres caused the vessel to run aground.

Fifteen crew members remain on board, and local reports this morning say rescue efforts have yet to be mounted due to the conditions.
