Swiber scores big in India again

Singapore: Offshore support services firm Swiber Holdings has announced a host of contract wins to a value of $405.6m, the highlight being a $333m EPIC contract in India.

The Indian contract is the second awarded this year by the same national oil company, with Swiber sealing a $310 EPCIC contract in February. The latest project will commence immediately, and involves transportation and installation of submarine pipelines and engineering works and modification of existing facilities.

Swiber has also clinched a few other contracts for mooring, jack-up installation and offshore pipeline and subsea work.

Francis Wong, ceo of Swiber, said: “We are pleased to have clinched another major project from the same client in India this month and the award is a testament to their confidence in our ability to deliver quality work in a timely manner.”

Swiber’s order book now stands at over $1.8bn.
