Swissco ceo Alex Yeo retires

Singapore: Swissco Holdings has announced that Alex Yeo is retiring from his role of executive director and CEO of Swissco Group.

Yeo’s retirement is effecting from May 31, and he will be replaced by Tan Fuh Gih, currently a senior executive director of the company.

Yeo started with Swissco Offshore in 1992 and has been CEO since January 1, 2013, overseeing a very busy year last year with the acquisition of rig operator Scott and English Energy for S$285m ($215.8m), adding nine jack-up rigs to the company’s fleet of OSVs.

Incoming CEO Tan has been senior executive director since December 2014, and served for 30 years with oil and gas service provider KS Energy Group.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
