Swissco readies more orders
Singapore: Offshore operator Swissco is making plans for further ship orders. Executive chairman Robert Chua said the company is finalising deals for a number of newbuilds. Swissco already has three anchor handling/supply vessels, two utility vessels, two crew boats and one accommodation vessel under construction.
“We believe that the heightened interest in oil and gas industry will spur increased demand for offshore support vessels and we anticipate that Swissco will be a beneficiary of this development,” Chua said in a statement following the company’s Q3 results which saw the firm report a S$6.4m net profit for the three month period.
