Taiwan International Ports Corporation maps 2015 development

Taipei: Taiwan International Ports Corporation is to actively cooperate with Southeast Asian countries and set up new container companies this year to boost its shipping business.

The island is planning to set up Kaohsiung Continental Container Company and Keelung International Company, and to develop deepwater terminals.

Taiwan is also planning to visit the Southeast Asian countries this year to get more transferred cargo resources, according to TIPC.

Ports in Taiwan completed 740m tons cargo throughput and 15m teu throughput last year.
