Tanjung Carat to be included in Indonesia’s sea highway program

Jakarta: The planned Tanjung Carat Port area, near the Tanjung Api-Api integrated zone in South Sumatra, would be included in the sea highway program initiated by the central government to facilitate cargo shipments, according to Indonesia’s president Joko Jokowi.

“Tanjung Carat is included in the sea highway program, but we must look at the regulation first,” Joko Jokowi said during a visit to Tanjung Api-Api Port.

“I’ve seen the location and we will definitely discuss it in the cabinet meeting, including the environmental and financial aspects. If everything is clear, we will immediately build it,” said Jokowi.
