Hong Kong: Hong Kong’s Tai Chong Cheang Steamship (TCC) has ordered a 76,500 dwt bulker at Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan for what it describes as a “competitive price”. The deal comes with one option. The ship will be delivered by June 2014.
TCC said: “The newbuilding vessels are designed with high specifications and structural standards to support optimum cargo intake and efficient fuel consumption."
TCC is understood to also be in the market for some aframax tankers. [27/11/12]
