Team Fuel linked to Daiichi Chuo handy buy

Team Fuel Corp has been linked to a handysize purchase. Sources say the Greek outfit has spent $9.4m for the 37,000 dwt, Hyundai Mipo-built bulker Ocean Lark from troubled Daiichi Chuo.

The ship will be the most modern unit in Team Fuel’s fleet that counts three vessels – all small handies older than 2001.

Greeks are known to be circling the fleet of Daiichi Chuo, a high profile Japanese bankruptcy, which is now under court protection and has outlined plans to slim line its operations.
