Technip awarded Dvalin EPCI contract

E&P firm DEA has awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract to Technip Norge for work at the Dvalin gas field, offshore Norway.

The contract includes the fabrication of smaller structures, the pipe-in-pipe production flowline, the as export pipeline and the installation of pipelines as well as all subsea structures and umbilical.

Hans-Hermann Andreae, managing director of DEA Norge, commented: “This contract is another major element for the Dvalin field development. We will now start to collaborate closely on the details with all companies we have on board, to continue the efficient work on the project.”

Last week DEA awarded two contracts worth over NOK 900m ($112.6m) to Aker Solutions to provide a subsea production system, plus maintenance and services at the field.

Production at the field is expected to start in 2020.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
