Technip’s Angola JV wins three-year FPSO contract

Total E&P Angola has awarded Technip Angola Engenharia, a joint venture (JV) between Technip and state energy company Sonangol, a three-year engineering services contract for four of its floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units.

The JV will provide engineering, technical assistance and other procurement-related services for Total’s existing FPSO units in offshore Angola, which are Girassol, Pazflor, Dalia and CLOV. The contractor will also undertake subsea field development related to the units at their location in Block 17.

The contract is scheduled for completion at the end of 2018.

“This contract reinforces our activity in Africa, an area with good dynamics. It also fits into our strategy to engage with our clients at early stages of their projects and build on long-lasting successful relationships,” said Hallvard Hasselknippe, president of Technip’s subsea division.
