Temas buys two Maersk ships

Indonesian domestic carrier Temas Line has bought the 1,092 teu sisterships Maersk Arizona and Maersk Arkansas from AP Moller-Maersk, according to Alphaliner. No price has been revealed.

The 1998-built ships have been renamed Izumi Mas and Ifama Mas.

Temas’s fleet now numbers 34 ships with around 22,000 slots.

Sam Chambers

Starting out with the Informa Group in 2000 in Hong Kong, Sam Chambers became editor of Maritime Asia magazine as well as East Asia Editor for the world’s oldest newspaper, Lloyd’s List.
