Tenders launched for Duqm development

Muscat: Two tenders to develop Duqm port's infrastructure and related works have been floated by the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm.

Thetenders are for providing facilities at the customs area, internal roads, two helipads, earthworks, potable water network, sewerage network, pump stations and street lighting.

The port now has a 9.6 km breakwayer, 2.25 km of quayside for commercial vessels as well as a 1 km long quayside for government ships. The depth alongside is now at 18 m.

PDC is a joint venture between the Oman government and Consortium Antwerp Port (CAP) in Belgium.  [27/11/14]
