Teras Offshore accommodation unit wins windfarm work

Teras Offshore, part of Singapore’s Ezion Holdings, has won a 16-month contract to provide its jack-up accommodation rig  Atlantic Amsterdam at an offshore windfarm project for DONG Energy UK.

The rig (pictured) has been deployed at the Race Bank offshore windfarm, which is under construction in the North Sea, off the east coast of England.

Some 91 wind turbines are being installed in the 29-square-kilometre project, which will have capacity of up to 573 megawatts(MW) – enough to power over 500,000 homes.

The rig was mobilised from the Danish port of Hirtshals in northern Denmark and commenced the contract in late August. It is managed by Aberdeen-headquartered Attollo Offshore.
