Three Henghai Shipping bulkers sold via auction

Three bulk carriers of Ningbo-based Henghai Shipping, the 2006-built Heng Hai 6, the 2007-built Heng Hai 11 and the 2008-built Heng Hai 8, have been sold in auctions arranged by Ningbo Maritime Court.

The three vessels were detained by the court due to financial disputes with creditors.

The 13,381 dwt Heng Hai 8 was sold to Zhejiang Enjie Shipping for a price of RMB24.14m ($3.85m) while Heng Hai 6 and Heng Hai 11 were sold to individual buyers for RMB9.66m and RMB10.66m respectively.

Henghai Shipping has been suffering financially since 2017 and most of the company’s vessels have been seized by courts.
