Three more AHTS units for Jasa Merin

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s Silk Holdings, via its 70%-owned subsidiary Jasa Merin, has ordered Muhibbah Marine Engineering to build three anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels for a total of $69.44m.

All the ships will be delivered by early 2014.

“The agreement for the new vessels is in line with the group's ongoing fleet renewal and expansion initiative,” Silk Holdings said in a statement to the local stock exchange.  [22/03/13]
