Tianjin port invests in equipment and expansion

Dalian: Tianjin Port Development has announced that several subsidiaries of the company have inked purchase agreements for port machinery, including a 40t-43m portal crane at a price of RMB14.81m, two 12t-33m portal cranes at a price of RMB14.99m and two sets of 40t-45m portal cranes at RMB32.71m.

The purchase of the equipment is to increase cargo handling capacity and improve the overall operating efficiency of the group.

Tianjin Port Development also announced that another subsidiary of the company has injected RMB630m capital into the Shenhua Tianjin project to support the construction and operation of Shenhua coal terminals (phase two) at Nanjiang port area of Tianjin.

The second phase of the Shenhua coal terminal project includes one 100,000 tons-class berth and two 70,000 tons-class berths, with a designed annual handling capacity is 35m tons. [24/10/14]
