Tianjin to add major breakbulk facility

Shanghai: Tianjin Port is currently expanding its port infrastructure for breakbulk operations. In addition to the current three breakbulk berths, the port will add another 7 breakbulk berths in the next two years, an official from Tianjin Lingang Port Group told SinoShip News at the annual Breakbulk event in Shanghai.
“We will open a new breakbulk terminal in June this year, the terminal will be the largest breakbulk terminal in Tianjin with an annual capacity of 900,000 tons and investment in the terminal over RMB500m,” the official said.
Currently the group is trying to attract cargo owners to set up operations in the Tianjin Lingang Port Area.[13/03/14]
