Ties improve between Ningbo and Taiwan
Shanghai: Ever growing ties between Taiwan and mainland China are seeing a number of Chinese port cities cosy up to the island. For instance, Ningbo Port Group has just inked a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) to enhance co-operation. TIPC is the umbrella organisation controlling all over the island’s main ports.
The two parties committed to promote stable developments of their ports, set up a regular communication regime and increase academic exchanges.
Announced at the same time, Ningbo Ocean Shipping signed a co-operation agreement with Wan Hai Lines of Taiwan. The agreement will see the two intra-Asia operators share their logistics networks and hold regular meetings together. [01/12/14]
