Toisa completes OSV fleet clearout

Gregory Callimanopoulos’ Toisa has completed the clearout of its entire offshore fleet, after China Sunrise Group took over the last six OSVs in the company’s fleet according to shipbroking sources.

The vessels are AHTS vessels, Toisa Daring, Toisa Dauntless, Toisa Defiant and PSVs Toisa Serenade, Toisa Solitaire and Toisa Sonata. All are all currently in layup and were sold for a total price of $19.3m.

Toisa filed for chapter 11 in the Southern District of New York Bankruptcy Court in January 2017, and the company’s tanker fleet has been cleared out in the past year as well.

China Sunrise mainly offers offshore support and engineering services, and operates a fleet of five vessels made up of three crew boats and two PSVs. It also has a liftboat on order.
