Toshin Kisen sale fails

The sale of the Japanese controlled 2006-built handy SH Grace, which had been mooted as completed over the weekend for $5.5m, has just failed, sources tell Splash.

Vietnam’s Than Bin, one of southeast Asia’s most aggressive owners this year, was linked to the purchase of the 29,800 dwt ship.

The low key manager and owner Toshin Kisen who has close to 20 bulkers under its umbrella has stayed quiet this year taking a different approach to many other Japanese bulker owners who have shredded tonnage fast.
