Transocean semi-submersible awarded Australian job by Chevron

Transocean has been awarded a contract by Chevron for semi-submersible rig GSF Development Driller I to drill offshore Australia.

The 11-well contract will commence in the first half of 2019 and has an expected duration of around 955 days.

Transocean says the award is worth around $158m and includes four additional one-well options.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
