Transocean wins two year semi-sub contract from Husky

Transocean has been awarded a two year contract for semi-submersible rig Henry Goodrich from Husky Oil Operations for work offshore Canada.

The rig is expected to commence operations in the second quarter of 2016 at a dayrate of $275,000. Transocean says the estimated contract value excluding mobilization is $200m.

Transocean’s contract backlog now stands at approximately $16.8bn.
