Trio in the dock accused of diesel smuggling

Kuala Lumpur: Two company directors and a ship captain have been in court over charges of illegally storing 190,857 litres of subsidised diesel. This is the second major court case in the state in two weeks involving alleged diesel smuggling.

Their company, Syarikat Zone Artic Sdn Bhd, which offers bunkering services in Pasir Gudang, was charged with storing the fuel without permission in the vessel MT Star Sapphire in the waters off Tanjung Piai in Pontian.

Bail was set and the trial will resume in two weeks.  [13/11/14]
