Tripoli might deploy troops to lift port blockades

Cairo: Libyan Oil Minister Abdelbari al-Arusi on Saturday issued another warning of military intervention to lift a months-long blockade of oil terminals.
"The government is making every effort to hold talks with those blockading the terminals," he said.
"But all options, including the military option, remain open to put an end to this situation," he added.
Armed protesters have blockaded terminals in the east of the country for the past five months sending national oil output volumes crashing from normal rates of 1.5m barrels per day to jus 250,000.  [23/12/13]
