Triton Partners takes geared boxship

Private equity concern Triton Partners has picked up a four-year old Chinese built geared boxship.

Triton is paying $13m for the 3,400 teu Hedda Schulte with brokers Braemar ACM reporting the ex-owners, Thomas Schulte Reederei, will retain management of the vessel.

Administrators looking after Hamburg-based Thomas Schulte have been selling off most of the line’s fleet over the past two years.
