Triyards diversifies further with new oil barge contracts

Singapore’s Triyards has announced that it has secured contracts to build two oil barges worth $21.82m from new client CPC Corporation, a Taiwan state-owned oil and gas company.

The barges, which are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2018, will be used for supplying bunker fuel in Taiwan’s habour and coastal areas.

“This attests to our continued efforts to diversify our orderbook beyond the traditional O&G sector. Not only have we broadened our product range but we have also added another blue-chip name to our growing pool of clients,” said Chan Eng Yew, Triyards’ chief executive officer.
