TS Lines orders two boxships at CSBC

Taiwanese containership operator TS Lines has placed an order at compatriot shipyard CSBC for the construction of two 1,800 teu feedermax containerships.

The vessels are expected to be delivered by the end of 2020 and the price for each vessel is $24m.

It is TS Lines’ second newbuilding order this year following an order for two 1,096 teu boxships at Japanese shipbuilder Kyokuyo Shipyard in Janaury.

TS Lines currently operates a fleet of 34 containerships, six of which are owned.
