Tsakos Energy Navigation in for Sungdong LR1s

Posidonia is finishing with more Greek ship orders. Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, exhibiting at the Greek show, has contracted with regular client Taskos Energy Navigation for two firm and two options 75,000 dwt LR1 product carriers in a $170m deal. Delivery of the firm ships is due in the first half of 2018.

For Sungdong, Tsakos’s commitment is a massive boost after a severe period of instability and restructuring where the yard skirted with closure.
